Code of Conduct
The Code covers behaviour and the terms cover the rest.
You're one of the first people building Frank with us. This Code is how we behave with each other while we do it.
It applies to every aspect of your Founder journey in respect of Frank's research and pilot phase:
- surveys and research tasks
- group sessions, interviews and calls
- the Frank founders server on Discord, and any other Frank channel
- events, online or in person
- anything you say or post about Frank, online or in person
- emails and messages with the Frank team
The Founding 1000 terms cover everything else, like who can join, what you're asked to take part in, recordings and your founder status.
Breaking this Code can mean losing your place in the Founding 1000. Section 11 explains how that works.
1. Be honest with us
What you tell us shapes what we build, so it only helps if it's true.
Do
- Tell us when something's confusing, annoying or just not for you, even if it's an idea we clearly love.
- Answer in your own words, about your own experience.
Don't
- Rush through a survey with made-up answers.
- Let someone else answer for you.
2. Keep what we share inside the programme
We'll show you things before anyone else sees them: screens, prototypes, plans and ideas. They belong to Frank, and they aren't public yet.
Do
- Talk about being part of the Founding 1000, as long as you keep to section 8.
- Ask us if you're not sure whether something is still confidential. We'll only tell you whether it's confidential.
Don't
- Record, copy, download or forward anything we share, unless we've told you that you can.
- Share screenshots of anything we've shared.
- Show anything we've shared to people outside the programme, including friends who are applying.
3. Protect everyone's privacy, including your own
Talk about money during Sessions as much as you like. Just leave out the details that could identify you or anyone else.
Do
- Talk in general terms, like "my rent went up", "I get paid monthly" or "I keep a separate pot for bills".
- Use your first name, a nickname or your Discord name, and let others decide how much they share about themselves.
- Share only what you're comfortable with.
Don't
- Share account numbers, card details, passwords, payslips, your full address or screenshots of your banking app, anywhere in the programme.
- Put names or details of other people, like your partner, your boss or your clients, into your answers or feedback.
- Share anything about another founder outside the programme, or try to find out who someone is.
4. On calls and in sessions
Do
- Let people finish, and leave room for quieter voices.
- Keep what's said in a session inside it.
Don't
- Record, screenshot or photograph a session yourself.
- Repeat what another founder said in a session to anyone outside it.
- Join a session on someone else's behalf, or bring along anyone who isn't a founder.
5. Respect everyone
Founders come from different places and handle money in different ways. Everyone should feel safe being honest about it, and that includes the Frank team and anyone we bring into a session.
Do
- Challenge ideas as hard as you like, and stay kind to the person behind them.
- Assume good intent, and ask before you judge.
Don't
- Harass, bully, threaten or insult anyone, in public channels, private messages, on calls or in person.
- Post hateful, sexual or violent content, or target anyone for who they are, including their race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or age.
- Judge or mock anyone for their money, their work or the choices they've made.
6. No financial advice, and no selling
Frank doesn't give financial advice, and the Founding 1000 isn't a place for anyone else to give or sell it. Sharing (in Sessions) what's worked for you is welcome.
Do
- Share your own experience as your own, like "this is what I do".
- Suggest someone gets independent advice if they're weighing up a big money decision.
Don't
- Tell anyone what to buy, sell or invest in, or promise them a return.
- Promote or sell products, services, courses, trading groups, crypto or referral links.
- Ask other founders for money, loans or investment.
- Present yourself as a financial adviser, or as someone who speaks for Frank.
7. Inviting friends
Do
- Invite friends to apply through the application form. They'll go through selection like everyone else.
Don't
- Invite anyone under 18 to apply, or into the server, a session or an event. Everyone in the Founding 1000 is 18 or over.
- Sell or trade your invite codes.
- Promise anyone a place, or help anyone apply with false details.
8. Posting about Frank
Posting about Frank is up to you. We don't ask you to post, we don't reward posts, and posting never counts towards your founder status or perks. We don't approve or edit what you post.
Do
- Make it clear you're part of Frank's Founding 1000 and that your views are your own.
Don't
- Share or take screenshots of anything we've shown you in the programme. It stays confidential under the terms.
- Speak for Frank, or make claims about features, dates, prices, perks, how Frank is regulated or how your money is protected, unless we've made them public.
9. Keep each other safe
Scammers go wherever people talk about money, so look out for each other.
Do
- Report to us (see Section 10) anyone who asks you for money, logins, codes or personal details.
- Remember that the Frank team will never ask for your passwords, PINs or security codes.
- Check that a message comes from the Frank team before you act on it. Team members are marked as Frank team on Discord.
- Use only the Discord account you gave us in your onboarding form.
- If another founder seems to be struggling with money, point them to the resources channel on Discord and let us know at support@heyfrank.ai.
Don't
- Pretend to be the Frank team, a partner or another founder.
- Share suspicious links or files, or anything that breaks the law.
- Try to handle someone else's crisis on your own.
10. Raising something
About Frank itself, like feedback, a bug in the app or a suggestion: open a ticket on Discord.
Anything else, like a complaint, a report about another founder or if you need support: email support@heyfrank.ai.
- Put this in the subject line: Founder | your Discord username
- For example: Founder | skm_y
If you or someone else is in immediate danger: call 999.
You won't lose your place for reporting a real concern.
Complaints about your Account: these are handled under the complaints process in the Membership Agreement, not this Code.
11. If the Code is broken
Most things are sorted with a quiet word. When they aren't, this is what happens:
-
A reminder of the Code.
-
A formal warning.
-
A pause from some or all activities while we look into it.
-
Removal from the Founding 1000.
Some breaches can mean removal straight away:
- Deliberately sharing what we've shared with you, including screenshots
- fraud, abuse or threats, or anything that puts someone's safety at risk
We'll tell you what happened and why. If you think we've got it wrong, email support@heyfrank.ai.
What removal means for your founder status is set out in the terms. Removal from the Founding 1000 does not, by itself, close your Account.
12. Changes to this Code
We may update this Code as the programme grows. When we do, we'll tell you what's changed before the change applies.
